We rest here while
we can, but we hear the ocean calling in our dreams, and we know by
morning, the wind will fill our sails to test the seams. A calm is
on the water and part of us would linger by the shore, for ships are
safe at harbor, but that's not what ships are for. - Michael Lille |
| This design has
appealed to many serious cruising sailors, and is a timeless
example of a well found cruising yacht.
Cockatoo II's construction is multi-chine steel. There are countless numbers of this design throughout the world and ever since Bruce Roberts first designed her in the late seventies it has been a favourite with serious cruising folk. If you are in the market for a cruising boat that is strong, safe, comfortable, good to live aboard then this design deserves your serious consideration. Good cruising designs don't date. This is one of them. Cockatoo II has been built as Ketch rig and has Centre cockpit arrangement.
